Tyres and Wheels
- Check tyre pressure (all tyres).
- Inspect for uneven wear and foreign objects.
- Ensure all lug nuts are tight and none are missing.
- Inspect rims for damage or deformation.
Fluid Systems
- Check engine oil level and color.
- Inspect hydraulic oil reservoir and lines.
- Check brake fluid level and appearance.
- Inspect coolant level in radiator and overflow.
- Top off diesel fuel and inspect fuel cap seal.
Battery and Electrical
- Inspect battery terminals for corrosion.
- Ensure battery water level is adequate (if applicable).
- Test operation of all dashboard indicators and gauges.
- Test horn, lights, alarms, and backup sounder.
Forks and Mast
- Check fork straightness and locking position.
- Measure fork heel thickness for wear.
- Inspect mast rollers and carriage welds.
- Lubricate chains and check equal tension.
Safety Systems
- Test seatbelt lock and retraction.
- Inspect fire extinguisher mount and gauge.
- Ensure load capacity plate is visible and accurate.
- Check condition of overhead guard and operator enclosure.
Operational Test
- Start engine and check for abnormal sound/smoke.
- Drive forward/reverse and test smooth transitions.
- Operate lift, tilt, and side shift functions.
- Test service and parking brake response.
General Condition
- Inspect for leaks under the body or engine area.
- Check for loose bolts, fasteners, or panels.
- Clean debris from cab, radiator grill, and mast track.
